Disciplinary warning for Director of Department of Education and Training and Chairman of Fatherland Front of Gia Lai province

On October 10, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Executive Committee held its 13th Conference to discipline a number of leaders and former leaders of departments and branches.

At the conference, based on the inspection results and the results of the implementation of the process of reviewing and enforcing discipline on party members under its authority, the Provincial Party Executive Committee discussed and found that:

During her tenure as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for the 2015-2020 term, Director of the Department, and account holder of the agency from 2017 to January 2020, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Thanh committed violations and shortcomings in the management and use of funding sources and management of basic construction investment at the Department.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's Regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and Party members, the Provincial Party Executive Committee decided to impose a disciplinary reprimand on Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Thanh, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

As Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for the 2020-2025 term, Director of the Department, and account holder of the agency (since February 2020), Ms. RCom Sa Duyen has committed violations and shortcomings in the management and use of funding sources, management of basic construction investment and procurement of information technology software projects at the Department. Therefore, the Executive Committee decided to discipline Ms. RCom Sa Duyen with a Reprimand.

In addition, based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and cause of the violation, the Executive Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Nguyen Tu Son, former member of the Provincial Party Committee and former Director of the Department of Education and Training.

As Director of the Department of Education and Training from April 2018 to October 2020, Mr. Nguyen Tu Son committed violations and shortcomings in implementing Party regulations and State laws on project procurement and management and use of software at the Department.

At the conference, the Executive Committee also decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Ho Van Diem, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

In his role as Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and account holder of the province's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund, Mr. Ho Van Diem failed to check and failed to detect the Agency's Accountant misappropriating money from the province's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund for personal use.

Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee also requested competent authorities to promptly take administrative discipline, in line with party discipline according to regulations.

Former Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council Mai Van Ninh was disciplined with a warning. The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 857 on disciplinary action against Mr. Mai Van Ninh, former Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council.
