The President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace held the opening ceremony of an exhibition with the theme "President Ho Chi Minh - National quintessence, contemporary stature" with a series of meaningful activities.
Opening the series of events is the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - National quintessence, contemporary stature" taking place from May 16 to the end of June 2025, introducing nearly 300 valuable images and documents, recreating the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh closely associated with the culture, ethics, and revolutionary spirit of the Vietnamese people and international friends.
Along with the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - National quintessence, contemporary stature", the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace introduces the exhibition "135 documentary photos of Uncle Ho at the Presidential Palace (1954-1969)", including 135 documentary photos, which are authentic and vivid moments of Uncle Ho's activities in the Presidential Palace space; opening the storytelling artifact room with thematic exhibition "Uncle Ho with the South - The South with Uncle Ho" through two parts of content: "Uncle misses the South, misses home"; "The South misses Uncle, misses father".
On this occasion, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace launched the book “135 Stories About Uncle Ho”, a collection of 135 authentic, simple yet profound stories, recorded from the memories of cadres, soldiers and compatriots who lived, worked and studied close to President Ho Chi Minh during the period from 1954 to 1969.
Also on the morning of May 16, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace coordinated witheducational institutions to organize the program “Uncle Ho in my heart - Journey of experiencing heritage” with the theme “Peugeot 404 car and the journey of serving Uncle Ho”. The program featured the activity “Listening to artifacts telling stories”, helping children listen to touching stories associated with the Peugeot 404 car, participate in exchanges, share feelings and visit Uncle Ho's residence and workplace.
In particular, in order to innovate the methods of propaganda, education and promotion of cultural heritage values, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace has deployed information technology applications, integrating QR Codes at the relic sites. This is a practical solution to help domestic and foreign tourists access official information and visual images of President Ho Chi Minh right during their visit.
* In Hanoi , Nhan Dan Newspaper opened the photo exhibition "Bright Name" and launched a special issue of Nhan Dan Weekend, commemorating the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader who paved the way for national salvation for the Vietnamese people, and at the same time laid the foundation for the country's revolutionary journalism.
The exhibition “The Radiant Name of the Person” was held in the open space of the Nhan Dan Newspaper office (71 Hang Trong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), facing Hoan Kiem Lake, not only as a cultural activity, but also as a profound political action, contributing to bringing Uncle Ho’s thoughts closer to the public. This space gathers precious images of President Ho Chi Minh, including familiar images and works of art that are little known to the public.
In particular, the exhibition makes the most of modern technology to create an engaging digital experience. Through QR codes, viewers can access the Virtual Museum of President Ho Chi Minh with the Youth, enjoy music podcasts of immortal songs that have stood the test of time, praising Uncle Ho's merits, personality, and sacrifice.
At the exhibition, the public also has the opportunity to explore valuable documents on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through articles written by Uncle Ho and published in Nhan Dan Newspaper. The works all contain great values, of contemporary significance, and can be used to illuminate current issues of the country in the current period.
The highlight of this special propaganda campaign is the People's Weekend issue 1890 - the number coinciding with the year of birth of President Ho Chi Minh. The special issue brings many in-depth articles by prestigious scholars and researchers, affirming the everlasting value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology.
* On the same day, the thematic exhibition “Ho Chi Minh in the visual arts” opened at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi). The exhibition introduces 60 works selected from the collection of hundreds of works by Vietnamese and foreign painters, sculptors, and artisans about President Ho Chi Minh, including different genres and materials such as painting, graphics, sculpture, embroidery, paper carving, and statues by folk artisans... Some of the works include: “Uncle Ho returns to Pac Bo in spring” by painter Duong Tuan; “Uncle Ho reads the Declaration” by painter Nguyen Duong; “President Ho works in the Viet Bac resistance base” by painter Phan Ke An; “Leaving the grass hut, Uncle Ho continues to march” by painter Trong Kiem...
The exhibition is not only a tribute and deep gratitude to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Celebrity, but also a valuable opportunity for the public at home and abroad to understand more about his great life and career.
The exhibition runs until May 30.
* On May 16, Tay Ho district held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TU dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", on the occasion of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Over the past 10 years, Tay Ho district Party Committee has 202 outstanding collectives and 233 individuals; at the grassroots level, 396 collectives and 1,433 outstanding individuals have been commended and rewarded for implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TU.
* To celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, on May 16, the People's Committee of Dong Anh district started a series of important projects with a total cost of more than 500 billion VND, including: Viet Hung High School Project in Dong village, Viet Hung commune; project to build a road outside the fence connecting to Bac Thang Long Industrial Park, Dong Anh district and build Hau Duong Middle School, Kim Chung commune.
