Celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day November 23

On the morning of November 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, November 23. Attending the event were comrade Pham Van Nghiem, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.

On February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 36/2005/QD-TTg on taking November 23 as Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. In recent years, with the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, cultural heritage in the province has been surveyed, inventoried, and comprehensively classified. Up to now, many relics have been restored and embellished; many intangible cultural heritages, customs, practices, and good cultural traditions have been researched, collected, preserved, promoted, and conserved; spiritual and cultural activities have received attention. In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with central ministries, branches, and relevant agencies and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop and complete 2 dossiers to submit to UNESCO.

Recognizing, praising and appreciating the results and achievements of the culture, sports and tourism sector, departments, branches, localities and organizations and individuals in the cause of preserving and promoting cultural heritage values in the past time, Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that we should continue to pay more attention and join hands to preserve, promote and conserve the cultural heritage values of the nation and the homeland. Strengthen propaganda, education, raise awareness, widely disseminate good traditional cultural values, typical tangible and intangible cultural heritages; encourage the maintenance, restoration and teaching of traditional crafts and organize intangible cultural performances to arouse self-esteem and pride in the cultural traditions of the nation. Continue to advise on the implementation of tasks in the roadmap to propose UNESCO to include Cheo art in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and honor the Cultural Celebrity Le Quy Don on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of his birth (1726 - 2026). Respect and improve the work of preserving cultural heritage values through statistics and records of cultural heritages; encourage and create conditions for organizations and individuals to conduct in-depth research, preserve, teach and introduce cultural heritages. Strengthen the work of monitoring, inspecting and examining the implementation of the Law on Cultural Heritage; closely coordinate with relevant agencies and units to contribute to protecting, preserving and promoting the values of the nation's cultural heritage.

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the provincial relic ranking certificate.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented audio equipment to 16 typical cultural villages and residential groups.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates of merit to artisans and students with achievements in teaching and participating in the Xam singing art class in 2024.

On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded provincial-level relic ranking certificates to 7 relics. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded audio equipment to 16 typical cultural villages and residential groups in the province; awarded certificates of merit and certificates to artisans and students participating in the 2024 Xam singing art teaching class.
