High School Graduation Exam: More than 122 thousand candidates in Hanoi are taking the Literature exam

At exactly 7:35 a.m. on June 26, along with students across the country, more than 122,000 candidates in Hanoi began taking the first test of the High School Graduation Exam: the Literature test. The time for candidates to take this test is 120 minutes.

At Nguyen Truong To Secondary School (Dong Da District), from 6:30 a.m., many candidates were present.

Quickly gathering in the school yard for roll call and checking of belongings, the students strictly followed the regulations for the high school graduation exam. At around 7 o'clock, the students gradually settled into their assigned positions in the examination room according to the previous list.

This year, the exams in the High School Graduation Exam are designed for two groups of candidates: candidates taking the exam with the current GeneralEducation Program and candidates taking the exam with the 2006 General Education Program.

According to the weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 26, Hanoi will have occasional showers and thunderstorms, and sunny days with the highest temperature reaching 34 degrees. This morning, the weather in the capital city is dry, favorable for students to travel to exam locations.

Present at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School early in the morning, candidate Nguyen Ha My (student of Le Quy Don High School, Dong Da district) expressed that she was not too worried when entering the first subject of the High School Graduation Exam.

"According to the current General Education Program, this year's exam has been innovated compared to previous years. I took the exam with the mindset of doing my best, not too nervous or worried. However, I am still a bit nervous because this will be the exam marking the end of 12 years of schooling," contestant Nguyen Ha My shared.

With the innovation in the exam format, candidate Nguyen Ha My said that 12th grade students cannot review or memorize literary analysis essays.

"For Literature, you need to review the new format, carefully review the test structure and questions to grasp the basic score. As for creativity, it depends on each person's ability to perceive literature," Ha My added.

Sharing the same thought, candidate Nguyen Gia Khanh (student of Hoang Cau High School, Dong Da District) said that to improve their Literature test-taking skills, candidates need to practice a lot and practice carefully according to the given exam layout.

According to candidate Vu Quoc Khanh (student of Hoang Cau High School, Dong Da District), as soon as you receive the exam, the first thing you need to do is read the exam carefully and allocate time appropriately instead of rushing to start doing the test right away.

"This year's exam requires students to think well, so at home, I have studied very carefully. For the social essay section, I studied in groups of topics. I guess the social essay section may revolve around the issue of the responsibility of the young generation in the era of growth," candidate Vu Quoc Khanh predicted.

According to information, previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training directed to strengthen measures to ensure security and safety at examination sites such as: equipping rooms and cabinets to store exam papers and exam questions; ensuring security camera systems; personnel...

In addition, the organization protects candidates' personal belongings, has plans to ensure food hygiene and safety, coordinates traffic flow, and prevents storms and floods... The organization of studying regulations and carrying out exam procedures for candidates at exam locations is implemented in accordance with regulations.
