Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China from August 31 to September 1. From September 2 to 4, President Luong Cuong attended the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism and worked in China.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji will pay an official visit to Vietnam to attend the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 from August 31 to September 2.
On the occasion of these events, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi had an interview with the Vietnamese press about the visits and relations between the two countries.

Regarding the SCO conference, the Ambassador said that this is the largest conference since the SCO was established. After 24 years of formation and development, the SCO now has 10 member countries, 14 dialogue partners and 2 observer countries, increasingly affirming its role and influence in the region and the world.
This organization has opened a model of cooperation with the goal of jointly protecting peace , promoting prosperity, improving people's lives, sharing achievements and looking towards the future.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's attendance at the conference demonstrates Vietnam's determination to deeply integrate into the international community.
Regarding the 80th anniversary of the victory of the world's people over fascism in China, the Ambassador shared that this is an opportunity for countries to commemorate the great struggle of humanity for justice and peace.
During those difficult years, President Ho Chi Minh worked in China many times, supporting the resistance of the Chinese people, while the Chinese people also firmly supported the Vietnamese revolution. The friendship of “both comrades and brothers” became a deep “red memory” between the two countries.
President Luong Cuong's participation in the commemorative event demonstrates Vietnam's determination, together with peace-loving countries, to continue following the path of peace and development, while affirming the common commitment to protecting regional peace and stability.

The Ambassador recalled that in April, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Vietnam. In just a short period of time, the two countries' senior leaders have continuously visited and exchanged views, expressing strong support for each other's important events, while affirming the close relationship and shared "red memories" between the two Parties and two countries.
The Ambassador affirmed that in the context of many world uncertainties, these frequent high-level contacts have significance beyond bilateral relations, sending a strong message about the determination of the two countries to work together to build and develop on the path of socialism, making positive contributions to peace and stability in the region and the world.
Regarding the visit of Commissioner Zhao Leji to Vietnam, Ambassador Ha Vi said this is an opportunity for China to send warm congratulations to Vietnam on the occasion of its 80th National Day, demonstrating China's respect for the relationship between the two Parties and two countries.
The visit also demonstrates China's strong support and close affection for Vietnam...
Mr. Ha Vi analyzed that promoting the building of a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future in depth and substance is a key task in bilateral relations. To realize this, the two sides need to strengthen cooperation mechanisms between the Party, Government, National Assembly and other fields.
In recent times, the two Parties have regularly organized high-level meetings, theoretical seminars, and cooperation in training officials; the two Governments have maintained the activities of the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation; and businesses and people of the two countries have also implemented many regular cooperation mechanisms.
Notably, during the visit to Vietnam of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two sides announced upgrading the "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism in the fields of diplomacy, defense, and public security to the ministerial level.
This is the first ministerial-level mechanism in the world of this model, demonstrating the determination of the two socialist countries led by the Communist Party in jointly protecting regime security, national security, and maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.
"The cooperation mechanisms are likened to the sustainable structural framework of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future project, which has strategic significance, contributing to moving the construction process from a general orientation to detailed and specific implementation," the Ambassador emphasized.
Vietnam and China share the same "red gene"
As two close neighbors, the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future has strategic significance, both stemming from historical depth and linked to practical requirements.

First of all, it is a tribute to the journey of the two Parties and two peoples standing side by side in the struggle for national independence, creating a traditional friendship of "both comrades and brothers".
This is an affirmation of the common ideal that both sides pursue. Vietnam and China share the same “red genes”, persistently placing the people at the center, and firmly following the socialist path that suits the country’s situation.
On that path, the two countries constantly exchange theories, learn from practice, grow together, and contribute to the world socialist movement.
The two countries regard each other's development as their own opportunity, promote cooperation in production and supply chains, expand new industrial sectors, jointly promote modernization, and create a foundation for bilateral cooperation to develop to new heights.
Practice over the past decades has proven that if Vietnam-China relations develop well, the national construction of each side will be favorable and the people of the two countries will enjoy practical benefits....
In recent years, Vietnam-China cooperation has developed in quality and efficiency. With the unique advantages of their development models, both economies have achieved rapid growth rates, people's lives have been constantly improved, affirming their superiority over many other developing economies.
Vietnam is increasingly attracting investment from Chinese enterprises. The production and supply chains between the two countries are deeply connected, leading to the development of many other industries in the direction of high added value - a rare cooperation model...
