Growth expectations from major projects

In the first quarter of 2025, investment activities in Da Nang city have had positive changes, with investment capital attracted increasing 3 times compared to the same period in 2024. The city continues to remove difficulties and obstacles to unblock all investment resources, especially real estate projects, contributing to promoting economic growth in 2025.

The bright spot in the socio-economic picture in the first 3 months of 2025 is that many real estate projects continue to be launched, ground-breaking, and construction commenced such as: Thuan Phuoc - Da Nang New Urban Area project with a total investment of nearly 11,500 billion VND; FPT Plaza 4 apartment building with a total investment of 2,790 billion VND; Capital Square 3 Urban Area, Capital Square 2 Urban Area, The Legend City Da Nang Commercial Center, Hotel, Apartment Complex... In addition, projects that have started and broken ground in 2024 continue to be vigorously implemented, increasing the added value of the construction industry and promoting the Da Nang real estate market, contributing to the city's socio-economic growth.

Director of the Real Estate Research and Training Institute (TRI) Nguyen Duc Lap said that having many real estate projects under construction, starting construction... in the city will be very favorable for the real estate market. Investors and real estate buyers at home and abroad will have many choices. Investors will have to compete more instead of having only a few projects that are prone to price monopoly.

When large investors “launch their products”, they will proactively create a market, attract investors, experts, highly qualified workers, and high-income earners to Da Nang to work and live, promoting the development of the real estate market. “Da Nang is very attractive, especially the construction of a free trade zone and a regional financial center. Investors’ expectations for the development of the real estate market in particular and the city’s socio-economic development in general are very high,” said Mr. Lap.

Real estate expert Nguyen Thanh Tien, lecturer at NIK Education Organization, said that Da Nang is building a free trade zone, financial center... and with the return of major real estate investors, the real estate market is developing with great potential. According to the Department of Construction, since the beginning of 2025, the city has granted construction permits to many projects with a total investment of more than 20,000 billion VND.

The Department of Construction is actively coordinating with departments, branches and sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles; appraise documents, and resolve construction licensing with the goal that by the end of the second quarter of 2025, projects licensed for construction will have a total investment of about VND 100,000 billion, far exceeding the figure of VND 61,000 billion in the whole year of 2024.

According to the report of the City People's Committee on the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation in the first quarter and key tasks in the second quarter of 2025, Da Nang is expected to have strong changes in investment attraction in the coming time. These are positive signs, expected to contribute to promoting the city's economic growth, towards the target of double-digit growth in 2025.

The city is focusing on implementing the conclusions of the Politburo and the resolution of the National Assembly to soon release resources from related works and projects, which will create momentum for the city's economic growth in 2025 as well as the following years. In particular, in 2025, the city is expected to have a number of large projects commenced with a total investment of more than 150,000 billion VND, such as: Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort Complex project, Asia Park Complex, projects of FPT Group, a number of high-end resort projects along the coast, riverside and Son Tra peninsula area, Viettel Group's Information Technology Park project, etc.

To achieve growth of 10% or more in 2025, Da Nang has determined that the industrial and construction sector needs to achieve a value-added (VA) increase of 9.6% or more in the second quarter of 2025 and 9.5% for the whole year. In the second quarter of 2025, the city will focus on removing difficulties, helping to unblock investment resources, and implementing dynamic projects for tourism development; at the same time, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles of projects and land related to inspection, examination and judgment conclusions to create conditions for projects to be implemented soon, increasing the amount of investment capital for social development.

Along with that, the city directed efforts to speed up administrative procedures for construction licensing to create favorable conditions for people to implement private housing construction projects in the area to increase investment capital in residential areas...
