As an adventure travel consultant, Luong Ha Vi (24 years old, Quang Binh ) has had the opportunity to visit many famous tourist destinations around the world.

However, the young girl was still surprised by the majestic beauty of Hang Tien - the largest dry cave in the Tu Lan cave complex.

Ha Vi said this was her first trekking trip in Vietnam. “With the desire to experience and feel the majestic beauty that nature has bestowed on the land where I was born - Quang Binh, I decided to join the 3-day, 2-night tour to explore Tien Cave without much hesitation,” she said.

Tien Cave is the largest dry cave in the Tu Lan cave complex, famous for its layers of stalactites stacked like terraced fields with a wide and spectacular frame, bringing extremely majestic beauty.

“The cave’s towering ceiling, like a black hole in space, drew me in the first time I saw the photo. And when I saw it with my own eyes, that feeling was many times stronger,” the female tourist shared.

While Hang Tien 1 impresses with its vastness and majestic stone architecture, Hang Tien 2 impresses visitors with the cool breeze blowing out like a natural air conditioner in the scorching heat of the Central region.

The temperature inside the cave is always different from the outside environment - a phenomenon not uncommon in Vietnamese caves. Inside is a giant world with massive stalactites formed over millions of years, standing tall as silent witnesses of time.

In addition, the tour also includes a schedule to explore Fun Cave and Ho Tien Cave, each cave has its own beauty, leaving many impressions on visitors.

What made the female tourist linger after the trip was the camping experience in the middle of the forest.

“Lying under the starry sky, all the noise and worries of the city disappeared, leaving only me, my fellow trekkers and the wild nature. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds chirping, gentle breeze, babbling brooks and a cup of warm tea, I just wished time would stop at that moment,” she recalled.

The tour to conquer Hang Tien includes sumptuous meals cooked by local chefs right in the forest. Each meal is a different menu, full of nutrition and full of Vietnamese flavor. Not only Vietnamese tourists but also foreign tourists are amazed by the delicious meals in the middle of the wild nature.

Before the trip, Ha Vi was quite worried about the terrain and weather of the tropical forest. However, because she was traveling with a group and was closely followed by a team of tour guides and safety assistants, she did not encounter any unfortunate incidents throughout the journey.

The female tourist did not prepare too many things or equipment for climbing hills and crossing streams, but mainly brought basic personal belongings. However, because this is an adventure tour, participants need to meet physical requirements.

“Two weeks before, I spent time walking and jogging to increase my endurance, and practiced a regular lifestyle so that I wouldn't get tired when changing my environment, sleep, or food,” she shared her experience.

The total cost for Ha Vi's trip was about 7.2 million VND/person, not expensive for a worthy travel experience.

The female tourist confirmed that she will return to Hang Tien again because she was so impressed. In addition, she also wants to conquer other caves in the large Tu Lan system such as Hang En, Hang Va, and Hang Son Doong.

“I want to go everywhere to touch, listen and understand the pristine beauty of Vietnam’s nature. This is also an experience for me to love more the land I was born in, where every forest, mountain and stream has its own story, gentle and full of life,” said Ha Vi.

Tu Lan - Hang Tien area has 4 seasons in a year (spring, summer, autumn and winter). The tour to conquer Hang Tien only operates from November to mid-September every year to give the Tu Lan cave system time to rest and balance the ecosystem.

April and May are warm, not too hot, on the trekking route through the forest visitors will see hundreds of flowers blooming.

From June to August it is quite hot. However, most of the time visitors move in the cave with the temperature from 22 to 25 degrees so it does not feel hot, comfortable swimming in the underground lake at the campsite.

To get here, visitors can go to Dong Hoi by plane, train, bus... then move to Phong Nha and start the journey to conquer Tieng cave.
