DNO - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City has just signed a decision to establish the Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the city (Steering Committee 389).

Steering Committee 389 of Da Nang city is headed by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong.

Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Le Thi Kim Phuong is the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee; the two remaining Deputy Heads are Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Tru and Colonel Nguyen Van Tang, Deputy Director of the City Police.

The Steering Committee members include representatives of departments, branches, armed forces, prosecutor's office, customs, border guards, Da Nang Newspaper, Radio and Television and relevant agencies.

The City Steering Committee 389 is responsible for advising on the development of projects and plans; directing, inspecting, urging, and guiding departments, branches, units, and localities in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

Coordinate forces to inspect and handle smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit production and trading. Monitor the situation and recommend improvements to mechanisms and legal regulations to improve market management efficiency.

Responsible for organizing interdisciplinary inspection teams, summarizing, proposing rewards or recommending handling of groups and individuals showing signs of covering up, protecting, or assisting in violations.

People's Committees of communes and wards establish grassroots steering committees to coordinate the implementation of tasks, ensuring that the work of preventing and combating smuggling and counterfeit goods is carried out synchronously from the city to the local level.
