Lai Chau will organize Independence Day in conjunction with Tourism

This is the first time Lai Chau province has organized the Independence Day celebration at the provincial level in conjunction with Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024, with the theme "Returning to the majestic Lai Chau peaks". The event will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2024 (4 days), in Than Uyen district. In order to promote the annual Independence Day celebration tradition of the people of Than Uyen district in particular and the people of all ethnic groups in Lai Chau province in general. Thereby, upholding the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering its source", "Repaying gratitude",educating the tradition of patriotism and national pride for the younger generations; contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State. Strengthening the promotion of potential strengths, typical tourism products of Lai Chau to domestic and international tourists; aiming to build and develop Independence Day and Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week into attractive and unique cultural tourism products of Lai Chau province.

The 2024 Lai Chau Independence Day and Tourism - Culture Week is directed by the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee; coordinated by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Than Uyen District. The event will include activities such as: Incense Offering Ceremony at the Traditional House of Ban Lut Historical Relic Site, Muong Kim Commune, Than Uyen District (where the first Party Cell of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee was established) , Opening Ceremony, Flag Raising Ceremony, etc.

In addition, there are many cultural, sports and tourism activities: Solidarity Xoe Circle "Sparkling colors of Than Uyen - Lai Chau", Street Festival, Art program to celebrate Independence Day, cultural space of ethnic groups in Lai Chau province; organizing KOMOMO Than Uyen 2024 international running race, Off-road motorcycle race, Kayak race, swallow-tail boat race, ethnic sports competitions, Paragliding performance program with engine; organizing space to introduce and promote tourism, space to exhibit beautiful photos of Lai Chau tourism, space to display and introduce OCOP products and some typical agricultural products...
