Bank interest rates today, July 16, 2025, recorded that the average bank interest rate for transactions in VND tended to fluctuate in opposite directions at some key terms.

According to the latest reports of credit institutions and foreign bank branches, the transaction turnover in VND on the interbank market during the week from July 7-11 reached approximately VND 2,581,794 billion, an average of VND 516,359 billion/day, a decrease of VND 78,978 billion/day compared to the previous week.

USD transaction turnover converted to VND during the week reached about 422,450 billion VND, an average of 84,490 billion VND/day, an increase of 19,309 billion VND/day compared to the previous week.

By term, VND transactions mainly focus on overnight term (93% of total VND transaction turnover) and 1-week term (3% of total VND transaction turnover).

For USD trading, the tenors with the largest turnover are overnight and 1-week tenors with proportions of 81% and 15% respectively.

Regarding average bank interest rates for transactions in VND, average interest rates tend to fluctuate in opposite directions at some key terms.

Specifically, the average overnight interest rate decreased by 0.16%/year compared to last week to 4.55%/year.

In contrast, the average interest rates for 1-week and 1-month terms increased by 0.08%/year and 0.11%/year, respectively, to 4.57%/year and 4.56%/year.

For USD transactions, average interest rates tend to fluctuate slightly compared to last week.

Specifically, overnight and 1-week interest rates both decreased slightly by 0.01%/year to 4.30%/year and 4.32%/year, respectively.

1-month term interest rate increased slightly by 0.03%/year to 4.39%/year.
