(LĐ online) - This morning (June 23), Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee solemnly held a ceremony to announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, and promote investment in Lam Dong province.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Tran Luu Quang - Deputy Prime Minister , along with leaders of central ministries, branches, leaders of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and many delegates.

The planning of Lam Dong province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister on December 29, 2023. Accordingly, in the period 2021 - 2030, Lam Dong province will develop into a fairly comprehensively developed province; build Da Lat city and its vicinity into a high-quality tourism center of Southeast Asia.

Specifically, Lam Dong will focus on shifting the economic structure towards modernization, increasing productivity, innovation and creativity; focusing on developing industries and services; restructuring the agricultural sector, shifting from agricultural production to agricultural economy. By 2030, the average GRDP per capita will reach 170 million VND/person.
Improve people's material and spiritual life; develop education, healthcare, science and technology; train and develop high-quality human resources. Exploit and rationally use natural resources; manage and protect forests; handle environmental pollution; protect core values of nature and cultural history.
Focus on completing connecting traffic routes, strengthening links with provinces in the region; building a sustainable urban system; forming tourism, service and industrial complexes; developing high-quality tourism, associated with preserving and promoting the values of ethnic cultural heritage, natural resources and regional connectivity.
By 2050, Lam Dong province aims to meet the standards to become a modern, unique, green, smart and livable centrally-governed city.

Regarding urban system planning, urban development orientation is linked to the driving force of each region in the direction of green, smart, and adapting to climate change. Forming an urban system with synchronous and modern infrastructure, ensuring connectivity between urban areas in the province and urban areas in the region. By 2030, the province's urban system aims to include 17 urban areas, including 1 type I urban area, 1 type II urban area, 3 type III urban areas, 5 type IV urban areas and 7 type V urban areas.
By 2050, Lam Dong will become a centrally-governed city consisting of 3 districts (Da Lat, Bao Loc, Duc Trong), 3 towns, and 3 districts.
In which, the inner city area includes: expanded Da Lat city (existing Da Lat city and Lac Duong district) and 5 communes and towns of Lam Ha district (Nam Ban town, Nam Ha, Gia Lam, Dong Thanh, Me Linh communes); expanded Bao Loc city (existing Bao Loc city and 5 communes of Bao Lam district: Loc An, Loc Nam, Loc Thanh, Tan Lac, Loc Tan); Duc Trong district.
The suburban area includes 3 towns: Lam Ha, Don Duong, Di Linh and 3 districts: Dam Rong, Bao Lam, Da Huoai (Da Huoai district includes 3 merged districts: Da Huoai, Da Teh, Cat Tien).

At the same time, the province will also mobilize and effectively use state, private and social resources to promote investment in developing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, continue to focus on attracting investment, focusing on development towards 2030: Being a fairly comprehensively developed province of the country; taking agricultural and forestry development as the focus and support; developing the processing industry as the driving force; developing tourism as a breakthrough. Building Da Lat city and its vicinity into a high-quality tourism center of the country and Southeast Asia, a center of education and innovation. Developing a sustainable, modern, highly efficient, organic agricultural economy, aiming to form large-scale specialized areas; becoming a national and international center for research and production of high-tech organic agriculture. Developing services, tourism, and logistics based on digital platforms, high quality and diversifying service types. Prioritize sustainable development of bauxite and alumina mining and processing industry, aluminum processing industry and aluminum products; develop agricultural and forestry product processing industry.
At the same time, comrade Vo Ngoc Hiep also affirmed that Lam Dong province will improve the business environment, always open its doors to welcome investors and commit to accompany and create all favorable conditions within the legal framework for businesses to successfully implement investment projects in the province and develop prosperously.
Lam Dong province's typical projects calling for investment priority in the coming time include 227 projects, including the following fields: Transportation (36 projects); industry (11 projects); culture, sports and tourism (34 projects); health (36 projects), education and training (6 projects); trade and services (20 projects); residential areas, urban areas (62 projects); agricultural development (12 projects); environmental protection (3 projects); mineral exploitation (4 projects); administrative block (3 projects).

The Lam Dong 2021-2030 master plan, with a vision to 2050, serves as the foundation for other detailed plans in the province, including urban, rural, land use and specialized plans.
