The Wall of Fame appeared for the first time at the 2023 Golden Kite Awards ceremony

On the evening of September 9, at That Theater (in Vega City Nha Trang), the 20th Golden Kite Awards ceremony will take place. The 2023 Golden Kite Awards ceremony marks the first time the cooperation agreement between Khanh Hoa province, represented by the Department of Culture and Sports (VH-TT), and the Vietnam Cinema Association, Vega City Joint Stock Company (under KDI Holdings Group).

That Theater at Vega City Nha Trang project is also where the two most important activities of the event will take place - the Red Carpet Fashion program and the Golden Kite Awards 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on September 9, broadcast live on VTV9.

With the theme "Glorious Galaxy", the award ceremony gathered nearly 1,000 delegates, artists, actors, filmmakers... to attend. The artists participating in this year's award ceremony are assessed by experts as being rejuvenated and expanded.

The 2023 Golden Kite Awards will kick off on September 1, with a "cinema route" - screening films at 18 mobile locations around Nha Trang such as April 2 Square and Vega City Nha Trang Sea Square. The large screens will screen free films competing for the Golden Kite Awards this year so that locals and tourists can enjoy and get closer to Vietnamese cinema. On the evening of September 9, locals and tourists in the city center can watch the red carpet and award ceremony on a large LED screen at April 2 Square.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the award, the Wall of Fame at Vega City Nha Trang, the first in Vietnam, appeared to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and groups who have made important contributions to the country's 7th art. The Wall of Fame with 433 stars, representing 107 outstanding works, 297 outstanding individuals who are authors, artists, actors, filmmakers and 29 veteran filmmakers of the Vietnamese cinema industry. In the near future, the Wall of Fame is expected to become an attractive check-in point for tourists when coming to Nha Trang.

In addition, at this event, there will also be a food festival with 22 booths in the Vega City Nha Trang campus, introducing typical products such as: Bird's Nest, coffee, Ngoc Linh ginseng... Along with that, there will also be a movie screening area on the beach showing free movies participating in this year's Golden Kite Award.

In the red carpet area, there will be check-in locations for taking photos, a commemorative area for the 20-year film road. In addition, there are areas for the audience to interact and take photos with their favorite artists and actors. The organizers also arranged 2 LED screens so that the audience can watch the award ceremony live inside the That Theater. The award ceremony stage promises to bring the live audience and television viewers an impression with its novelty and modernity.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, this year's Golden Kite Awards ceremony, in addition to the participation of veteran artists such as: People's Artist Tra Giang, Kim Xuan, Cat Phuong, Dao Ba Son..., also has the presence of promising young faces such as: Thanh Son, Kha Ngan, Doan Quoc Dam, Thanh Duy, Huyen Lizzie, Quynh Kool, Hariwon...

Perspective of the Wall of Fame - a highlight of the 2023 Golden Kite Awards ceremony

The 2023 Golden Kite will also be attended by international guests representing the Organizing Committee of the Asian Film Festival (AWFF) in the US. This unit mainly introduces works for the best international feature films and the best films nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes from Asia, with the aim of promoting and strengthening the relationship between the Asian film industry and Hollywood. Attending this event, representatives of the AWFF promise to bring award-winning films this year and in the following years to premiere at the Asian Film Festival in the US.

Started in 2003, 'Canh Dieu' is an annual award of the Vietnam Cinema Association to honor authors, artists, filmmakers and outstanding works in the genres of cinema, television, documentary, scientific film, animation, short film and research works, film criticism theory.

Up to now, after 20 years of development, 'Canh Dieu' has continuously expanded in scale and influence. The award is not only of interest to professionals but also to audiences across the country.
