TTH.VN - “The wave of protest against the unjust war of the US in Vietnam” is a special exhibition organized by the Thua Thien Hue History Museum in collaboration with the War Remnants Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, opening to the public on the afternoon of August 4 at No. 1, 23/8 Street (Hue City).
With 80 images, documents and more than 100 artifacts, the exhibition focuses on 5 main contents: Introducing anti-war activities, parades and protests, activities of refusing to participate in war, exposing war crimes, and efforts of American veterans in healing the wounds of war.
According to the organizers, through this thematic exhibition, we hope to send meaningful messages about peace to the public at home and abroad. At the same time, we will clearly depict some forms of struggle that American soldiers and veterans used in the anti-war movement against the US invasion war in Vietnam. From there, we will contribute to conveying more messages of peace to the masses and international friends.
In particular, affirming that the Vietnam - US relationship is increasingly improving and developing in many fields, cultural exchange activities between progressive peace activists, veterans and people of the two countries associated with reconciliation, healing, overcoming the consequences of war, contributing to promoting and developing the comprehensive relationship and cooperation between Vietnam - US as it is today.
The exhibition is open until September 30.
