TTH.VN - “The wave of protests against the unjust war waged by the US in Vietnam” is a themed exhibition organized by the Thua Thien Hue History Museum in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City War Remnants Museum, opening to the public on the afternoon of August 4th at 1 23rd August Street (Hue City).
With 80 images, documents, and over 100 artifacts, the exhibition focuses on five main themes: introducing anti-war activities, marches and demonstrations, activities refusing to participate in the war, exposing war crimes, and American veterans' efforts in healing the wounds of war.
According to the organizers, through this thematic exhibition, they hope to convey meaningful messages about peace to a wide audience both domestically and internationally. At the same time, it clearly depicts some of the forms of struggle used by American soldiers and veterans in the anti-war movement against the American war of aggression in Vietnam. From there, it contributes to spreading more messages of peace to the general public and international friends.
In particular, affirming the increasingly improving and developing relationship between Vietnam and the United States in many fields, cultural exchanges between progressive peace activists, veterans, and the people of the two countries, linked to reconciliation, healing, and overcoming the consequences of war, have contributed to promoting and developing the comprehensive relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and the United States as it is today.
The exhibition is open until September 30th.
