The Youth Union of Quynh Phu commune has been implementing the "Youth Union's Foster Children" model since December 2025. To date, the commune's Youth Union is sponsoring four disadvantaged students in the area. Among them, the circumstances of Nguyen Thi Nhu Anh (5 years old) and Nguyen Nhu Truong (4 years old) in Binh Ngoc village have deeply saddened many. After their parents divorced, the two children lived with their father and elderly grandparents who were in poor health. Recently, their father tragically passed away in an accident, leaving the two young children orphaned and destitute. In response to this situation, the commune's Youth Union, along with the Youth Union of the Quynh Phu Commune Police, visited and encouraged the family and decided to sponsor the two children through the "Youth Union's Foster Children" model.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Tuan Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Quynh Phu commune: Currently, the commune's Youth Union is supporting four children with 500,000 VND per child per month until they reach 18 years old. Funding is provided every six months from contributions by Youth Union members and social contributions. The "Adopted Children of the Youth Union" model is implemented with the desire to provide long-term support to disadvantaged children, helping them to have better conditions for care, nurturing, education, and comprehensive development, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of responsibility and sharing among young people towards the community.
In Nghia Tru commune, the "Youth Union's Sponsored Child" model is also being effectively implemented, providing practical encouragement to many underprivileged students. Le Hanh Nguyen, a student at To Hieu Primary and Secondary School in Hamlet 11, is one of the cases that the Nghia Tru Commune Police Youth Union has been sponsoring since March 2026.
Hanh Nguyen's father passed away in an accident, leaving her mother to raise two young children alone amidst difficult economic circumstances. Despite this, Hanh Nguyen has always been diligent and strived to excel in her studies. Periodically, every quarter, members of the Youth Union and the local police visit her, giving her gifts and encouraging her to continue her education.
Ms. Do Ngoc Linh, mother of Hanh Nguyen, emotionally shared: "Our family is deeply touched to receive the gifts and affection from the Youth Union of Nghia Tru Commune Police for our child. This is a source of encouragement that helps our family alleviate financial burdens and strive to ensure our child receives a proper education."

The "Sponsored Children of the Youth Union" model at the Nghia Tru Commune Police Youth Union was implemented in March 2026 with the goal of providing timely support and encouragement to students in difficult circumstances. To date, the unit has sponsored 3 students, each receiving 500,000 VND per month along with many practical gifts at the beginning of the new school year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, etc. All funding is contributed by officers, members, and youth of the Commune Police.
According to Mr. Le Duc Hung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghia Tru Commune Police: "Every time we visit and give gifts, seeing the children become more mature, bolder, and more confident, we feel that our work is meaningful and we want to continue sponsoring more children in difficult circumstances."
Not only in the two communes of Quynh Phu and Nghia Tru, the "Adopted Child of the Youth Union" model has been widely implemented in many localities throughout the province, such as the Youth Unions of wards and communes like Pho Hien, My Hao, Nguyen Van Linh, Ngu Thien, etc. Although the support is not large, it has helped to alleviate difficulties and provide motivation for the children to study with peace of mind and nurture their dreams on the path to knowledge.

Comrade Vuong Nhu Hoan, Deputy Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, assessed that the "Youth Union's Foster Children" model is a meaningful humanitarian activity, demonstrating the companionship of Youth Union and Young Pioneer organizations at all levels with students and children in difficult circumstances. Through this model, the spirit of compassion and responsibility for the community of Youth Union members and young people continues to spread strongly. In the coming time, Youth Union branches at all levels in the province will continue to expand the model; at the same time, they will proactively build a fund through various forms such as mobilizing businesses, philanthropists, soliciting contributions from Youth Union members and young people, and organizing fundraising projects and activities. Besides material support, Youth Union branches need to regularly visit, encourage, and promptly help the children in their lives so that they have more strength to overcome difficulties and become good children and excellent students.
