Since yesterday afternoon, October 18, a 30-second video clip has been circulating on social media, recording a female student being beaten and stripped of her clothes by a student wearing the uniform of Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City) in the presence of other students, without any intervention.

Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters contacted Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hoc Mon District. Mr. Hiep said that the Department of Education and Training had received the above video and was verifying the incident. On the side of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, an official of the Department said that the Department of Education and Training of Hoc Mon District had reported initial information about the incident.

Accordingly, a female student of Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School (the female student who assaulted her friend) had a conflict on social media with the female student who was beaten. These students made an appointment to talk at a coffee shop outside the school. Then the assault took place. The video recording the scene of the female student assaulting her friend was witnessed by students from another school.

According to the HCM City Department of Education and Training, after the video was released on social media, Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School and the Hoc Mon District Department of Education and Training reported it to the local police. The police are currently working with the students.
