STO – As one of the key highlights in the 2023 Workers' Month, the meeting and dialogue between Soc Trang province's leaders and workers is an opportunity for trade unionists and workers to directly express their thoughts and aspirations with provincial leaders at all levels and sectors.
The meeting and dialogue between provincial leaders and workers in 2023 is organized by the Soc Trang Provincial Labor Confederation in the spirit of creating the best conditions for workers to boldly propose and recommend to provincial leaders about problems and difficulties that need to be removed. This year's meeting and dialogue took place in an exciting atmosphere, showing the spirit of listening, understanding and sharing with workers of the provincial leaders.
On behalf of employees at the company, Mr. Phan Quoc Phong - union member of the grassroots trade union of Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company proposed: "Currently, An Nghiep Industrial Park is far from the market. Therefore, we hope that agencies and departments at all levels create favorable conditions for trade unions to combine businesses to open shops to sell necessities for workers here. If workers and brothers and sisters can buy goods of clear origin, affordable prices will ensure safety for health, peace of mind as well as be more suitable to the current living standards of workers.
According to Ms. Ly My Ai - a worker of Luckytex Soc Trang Limited Liability Company, currently, workers like her are looking forward to social housing projects to rest assured about accommodation and save on rental costs. Therefore, at this dialogue, Ms. Ai proposed to soon start building a trade union and social housing to help workers have a stable place to live, exercise their health and feel secure in labor and production.

Those are two of the opinions expressed to leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and functional departments and agencies at the dialogue conference. In the open atmosphere, union members and workers of enterprises have proposed many topical ideas, which are interested by the majority of workers in the province. Accordingly, the issues of maintaining sustainable jobs, raising incomes, having solutions to limit black credit status among workers, social insurance regimes and policies; medical examination and treatment covered by health insurance ... have been frankly raised by many union members and workers. Since then, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and related departments and agencies have received opinions, understood and answered in a specific way, focusing on the mentioned contents. At the same time, analyze more clearly the rights and duties of employees and employers.
At the dialogue conference, comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the contributions of the labor force over the past time. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee urged union members and workers to continue promoting the spirit of enthusiasm and creativity in work, actively emulating in production. With the recommendations raised at the dialogue, Comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao proposed the Provincial Labor Confederation to synthesize the opinions and aspirations of workers and businesses to send to the competent authorities to consider and protect the legitimate interests of workers. Departments and branches need to promote attraction and call for investment, increase production and business, and create jobs for union members and workers.

For the construction of social housing, Comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao said that this project is interested by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and has had many working sessions with the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. Provincial leaders always pay attention and direct relevant agencies to urgently carry out the remaining work to start the project. Comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao also suggested, organize trade unions to coordinate with departments, branches, localities and businesses to build welfare supermarkets located in industrial parks. Governments and mass organizations at all levels in the province coordinate with credit institutions in propagating credit guidelines and policies to workers, creating conditions for workers to access support loans. Enterprises continue to well observe labor laws, implement salary and bonus policies, ensure the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, and pay attention to improving the material and spiritual life of employees. Union members, employees and employees need to actively produce, participate in patriotic emulation movements, promote dynamism and creativity, accompany businesses in difficult times, and build harmonious and progressive relationships in the workplace.
The meeting and dialogue helped leaders and authorities at all levels promptly and deeply grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees. Thereby, promptly propose satisfactory solutions to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations and improve the material and spiritual life of union members and employees.
