On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of US Independence Day (July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - US diplomatic relations (July 12, 1995 - July 12, 2025), today, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent congratulatory messages to US President Donald Trump.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also sent congratulatory messages to US Senate President James David Vance and US House Speaker Mike Johnson.

In their congratulatory messages, senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the US one of its strategically important partners, welcoming the US's support for a "strong, independent, self-reliant and prosperous" Vietnam.

Looking back on the 30-year journey since the official establishment of diplomatic relations, especially after the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, senior Vietnamese leaders expressed their delight at the positive developments in cooperation between the two countries in all fields, at bilateral, regional and international levels.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
