Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Quang Hoang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, inspected the storm recovery work in Ba Dinh commune.
Due to the impact of storm No. 5 and heavy rain after the storm, floods on rivers in the province are rising rapidly. The dyke system of Thanh Hoa province has had many incidents. The water level in the downstream river is also rising rapidly, causing the Boi dyke in Hoa Loc commune and many dyke locations in Ba Dinh commune to overflow, with a high risk of dyke failure.
At the checkpoints, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the Party Committee, authorities and police forces of the two communes mentioned above to coordinate with the Army, local shock forces and the People to deploy the "4 on-site" plan, quickly overcome the incident. At the same time, assign a 24/7 standing force, fully prepare human resources, materials, means and equipment to respond to any situation that may arise.
The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police also praised the sense of responsibility and efforts of the police force and security and order protection teams at the grassroots level of the two communes of Ba Dinh and Hoa Loc, who, regardless of difficulties and dangers, made efforts to help people evacuate people and property to safety.
Comrade Yen Duy Hung, Secretary of the Hoa Loc Commune Party Committee, said: On the morning of August 27, Hoa Loc Commune Police coordinated with local authorities and forces to evacuate 58 households and 203 people in the Boi dike area to a safe place. The commune police mobilized tractors and specialized vehicles to transport materials, sand, and iron baskets to reinforce the weak dike in Hoa Loc Commune and assigned forces to participate in the dike guard posts, ensuring safety for the people.
