The delegation included Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Bui Thi Minh Hoai; and Central Committee members: Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Affairs Committee Lam Van Man, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Thanh Hai, and Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religion Nguyen Dinh Khang.

Vietnamese Buddhism contributes to strengthening national unity.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sends best wishes to Venerable Thich Tri Quang - Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Council and Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Vice Supreme Patriarch of the Council and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, all venerable monks and nuns, lay followers, and Buddhist compatriots in Vietnam, wishing them peace, unity, and much joy in the light of Buddhist teachings.
The Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that Buddhism has always been a companion to the country and closely associated with the people throughout the nation's history, upholding the spirit of "protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being" and "Buddhism accompanying the nation." Representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha have always participated in the National Assembly and People's Councils during their terms.

The Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized that the Party and the State always pay attention to and create conditions for people of all religions to exercise their right to freedom of belief and religion in accordance with the law.
The Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the role of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in consolidating national unity, implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; and also its many positive contributions to social welfare, building solidarity houses, charitable activities, education, healthcare, etc.


The Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his hope that in the future, with their prestige, the Venerable Thich Tri Quang and the Venerable Thich Thien Nhon will lead the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to continue upholding the patriotic tradition and accompanying the nation.
2026 is a particularly significant year for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha as it celebrates its 45th anniversary, organizes Buddhist congresses at all levels, and the 10th National Buddhist Congress. The Chairman of the National Assembly wished the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha success in organizing the Buddhist congresses at all levels, leading up to the 10th National Buddhist Congress.

Venerable Thich Tri Quang, the Supreme Patriarch of the Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, respectfully expresses his gratitude for the attention and affection of the Party and State leaders, especially National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, who visited and extended kind sentiments to Vietnamese Buddhism.
He emphasized that this is a great source of encouragement for the Church to continue to accompany and contribute to the cause of national construction and development. On this occasion, through the Chairman of the National Assembly, the Venerable Abbot sent his greetings and best wishes for good health to General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State.
Venerable Thich Tri Quang expressed his belief that after the 14th National Congress of the Party, along with the orientation to expand Ho Chi Minh City's development space based on linkages with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the city will have more impetus for growth. With a large number of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to make positive contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
The Venerable Abbot stated that, after 45 years of formation and development, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has always been closely associated with the country's renewal process. With a large number of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to make positive contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the entire country.

Later, the delegation of Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders also visited Quang Duc Zen Monastery (Xuan Hoa ward) to visit and congratulate the Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Vice Dharma Chief and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, on Buddha's Birthday.


Venerable Thich Thien Nhon respectfully expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Party and State leaders on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday celebration; and expressed his hope that the Party and State leaders will continue to support, care for, and create favorable conditions for the Buddhist community of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in their Buddhist activities and work together to build and develop a more prosperous Vietnam.
