At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Memorial and Road 9, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai and leaders of local departments and agencies laid wreaths and offered incense at the Memorial to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives in the two resistance wars to defend the country, gain national independence, freedom and peace for the people. After the ceremony, the comrades in the delegation went to burn incense at each grave, expressing their deep gratitude to the martyrs.

The Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of 10,263 AHLs who fought bravely and served in combat for 16 years on the legendary Truong Son fire line. The Route 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of 10,087 AHLs who fought and served in combat on the Route 9 front, the Quang Tri battlefield and Laos during the resistance war against the US.
*Earlier that same day , a delegation of city leaders led by comrade Nguyen Chi Tai visited, offered incense and laid a wreath at Huong Dien Memorial House ( Hue City). Also attending the ceremony were leaders, departments and branches of Phong Thai ward and Phong Dien ward.

After the memorial service, the comrades respectfully lit incense on the martyrs' graves, deeply expressing their gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.
* On the morning of July 24, Standing Member of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Hoang Khanh Hung also led departments and local authorities to visit and present gifts to policy families in Hoa Chau, Quang Dien, and Dan Dien communes.

At Thuy Dien Residential Group, Hoa Chau Ward, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Hoang Khanh Hung visited and presented gifts to Ms. Nguyen Thi Vui (born in 1947). Ms. Nguyen Thi Vui was a resistance activist who was exposed to 41% of toxic chemicals. She participated in the resistance war against the US and was awarded the 3rd class Resistance Medal. She is currently living alone.
Visiting Mrs. Ho Thi Nhan (Van Can village, Quang Dien commune) - wife of martyr Le Ngoc Nguyen, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee encouraged and shared the difficulties in daily life; at the same time, he hoped that the family would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, educate their children and grandchildren, and contribute to the development of their homeland. He also requested the local authorities to continue to pay more attention, support and help policy families in the area.
