- On the afternoon of October 9, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province received and worked with the delegation of Daejin International Volunteers Association (DIVA), Korea led by Mr. Yun Eun Ho, Chairman of DIVA.

Also attending the meeting were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors, leaders of Lang Son city and districts: Van Lang, Binh Gia.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Yun Eun Ho, Chairman of DIVA Organization and the working delegation to visit, work and organize humanitarian medical examination and treatment in Lang Son province.

The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee affirmed: On the basis of the good relationship between Vietnam and Korea, Lang Son province has paid great attention to promoting the establishment and development of relations with localities, agencies, organizations and enterprises of Korea over the years. At the same time, Lang Son province has also received attention, support and cooperation from localities, agencies and organizations of Korea, especially the DIVA organization which has been associated and cooperated with the province for many years in the fields of humanitarian aid and staff training.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee sincerely thanks Chairman Yun Eun Ho and DIVA Organization for their affection, attention, support and cooperation with Lang Son province.

Briefing the delegation of DIVA Organization about the potentials and strengths of Lang Son in socio -economic development, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The province really wants to attract many Korean enterprises and investors to cooperate in investment and business in the border economic zone and industrial parks and clusters of the province.

He expressed his hope that Mr. Yun Eun Ho would introduce Korean enterprises to cooperate with Lang Son province in the near future.

At the same time, we hope that DIVA Organization will continue to accompany, support and cooperate in implementing humanitarian aid projects for disadvantaged areas of the province, especially in the fields of health,education - training and livelihood improvement.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of DIVA Organization sincerely thanked the leaders of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches, districts and cities for taking the time to receive the delegation. At the same time, he affirmed: In the past time, Lang Son province and DIVA Organization have had a good relationship. DIVA will continue to support and assist Lang Son more, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

The President of DIVA Organization shared with the localities of Vietnam in general and Lang Son province in particular about the severe damage caused by the recent storm Yagi (storm No. 3) and hoped that DIVA's support could contribute to overcoming the consequences of the storm, helping the people of Lang Son stabilize their lives.

Mr. Yun Eun Ho also emphasized: Currently, DIVA is very interested in implementing clean water and sanitation projects, especially in schools to improve the lives of children. DIVA hopes that Lang Son province will continue to pay attention and cooperate so that these projects can be effectively implemented in the future.

At the meeting, DIVA Organization presented 1 billion VND in emergency international aid to Lang Son province to support people affected by storm No. 3.

Mr. Yun Eun Ho, Chairman of DIVA Korea Organization, presented the symbol of funding to support the recovery of the consequences of storm No. 3 to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Also at the meeting, the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Yun Eun Ho, Chairman of DIVA Organization for his many contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
