Provincial People's Committee leaders received and worked with the delegation of the Export-Import Bank of Korea

On the morning of October 29, Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM), led by Ms. Jung Hyun Ju, Director of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) Operation Board, working in Tuyen Quang to review the progress of the Project to build a road from Tuyen Quang city center to My Lam mineral spring tourist area sponsored by KEXIM.

Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units; Tuyen Quang City People's Committee; experts from the Coordination Department, EDCF Operation Board, KEXIM in Seoul and Hanoi .

Working scene

The project to build a road from Tuyen Quang city center to My Lam mineral spring tourist area, My Lam ward, Tuyen Quang city is in the priority investment list sponsored by KEXIM, with a construction scale of about 7.6km long, designed speed of 50km/h, aiming to develop a synchronous infrastructure system to serve the traffic needs and tourism development of the province.

The project has been included in the master plan for tourism development in Tuyen Quang province to 2020, with a vision to 2030, and the Tuyen Quang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

The project has a total investment of 41.677 million USD, equivalent to 996.866 billion VND. Of which, the loan capital from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund is 776.383 billion VND, the rest is the local counterpart capital. The project is invested by the Coordination Board of Foreign Capital Projects of Tuyen Quang province. The implementation period is 4 years, from the date the Loan Agreement takes effect.

At the meeting, after listening to the project progress report of the province, the KEXIM delegation introduced the new bidding method as well as the contents to note when preparing bidding documents and wished to follow this new bidding process.

The two sides exchanged, discussed and agreed on the next steps to soon sign the Loan Agreement and agreed on the process and method of organizing the implementation of the Project after approval.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan emphasized that the investment in the construction of the above-mentioned route is an important basis for developing a modern urban space to connect with key economic areas inside and outside the province; leading and activating private sector investment, exploiting the maximum potential of My Lam mineral spring tourist area, contributing to promoting socio-economic development for Tuyen Quang city in particular and Tuyen Quang province in general.

Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee commits to create all favorable conditions, cooperate closely and effectively with KEXIM; ensure the local budget is matched according to the regulations of the sponsor. At the same time, resolutely direct relevant departments and branches to organize and implement the project to complete it on schedule. Tuyen Quang Province hopes to continue receiving the attention of KEXIM to speed up the appraisal process, and sign the Loan Agreement as soon as possible.
