Leaders of O Lam commune visited and supported families affected by storms and tornadoes.

On the morning of July 22, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of O Lam commune (An Giang province) Mai Thi The led a working delegation of the commune to visit and present support money to the family of Mr. Ton Long Dua (residing in Ninh Thanh hamlet), whose house had its roof blown off by a storm.

Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of O Lam Commune Mai Thi The presented 5 million VND in support to help the family overcome immediate damage; at the same time, encouraged the family to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Mr. Ton Long Dua's family is in difficult circumstances, having suffered a stroke and lost the ability to work.

The storm blew off the roof of Mr. Ton Long Dua's house.

Previously, at around 3pm on July 21, heavy rain accompanied by a strong storm completely blew off the roof of Mr. Ton Long Dua's house, causing an estimated damage of about 20 million VND. Mr. Dua comes from a poor family, suffered a stroke, and lost his ability to work, while his wife is a housewife.

Upon receiving the news, the Military Command of O Lam Commune and the People's Committee of Ninh Thanh Hamlet mobilized 20 officers, soldiers and people to support the family in overcoming the situation.
