Leaders of Thuong Tin commune offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs

This evening, July 23, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Tin commune solemnly held an incense offering and candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the heroic martyrs' memorial of the old Thuong Tin district, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Xuan Minh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Thuong Tin commune; comrade Tran Hong Hanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; comrade Phan Thanh Tung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune and leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, mass organizations in the commune and the Youth Union members, offered incense, laid wreaths and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the noble sacrifice of the heroic martyrs.

During the two wars to defend the Fatherland, the old Thuong Tin district had more than 3,000 people who heroically sacrificed their lives. These great contributions and sacrifices demonstrated the indomitable spirit of the army and people of Thuong Tin, making an important contribution to the cause of liberating and defending the country, for the happiness of all the people.

The ceremony was an opportunity for cadres, Party members and people of Thuong Tin commune to express their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs - the outstanding sons of Thuong Tin homeland, who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. With the spirit of "Determination to die for the Fatherland", the heroic martyrs devoted their youth and blood, contributing to the victory of the country. The dedication and sacrifice of the heroic martyrs will forever be engraved in the hearts of the people and the history of the country.

Speaking at the incense offering ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Thuong Tin Commune, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thuong Tin Commune Nguyen Manh Thang emotionally shared: Continuing the heroic tradition of the previous generation, the youth of Thuong Tin Commune today have been striving to compete and promote the role of youth volunteering in participating in socio-economic development, maintaining national security and defense, and maintaining social order and safety. At the same time, actively participating in Party building, government building, building advanced new rural areas, building a Youth Union organization worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Party, especially when the two-level local government comes into operation, opening a new era of development.
