Lao Cai welcomes more than 3.5 million tourists

In May, on the holidays of April 30 and May 1, some localities in Lao Cai province organized many unique cultural, festival and tourism activities and events, attracting people and tourists to participate.

Key tourist destinations that welcomed many visitors included: Sa Pa town welcomed 375,700 visitors; Lao Cai city 269,300 visitors; Bao Yen district welcomed 168,000 visitors; Bac Ha district welcomed 63,000 visitors; Bat Xat district 34,800 visitors.

Total revenue from tourists in May 2024 reached VND 2,605 billion, up 2.1% over the previous month. Accumulated from the beginning of 2024, it reached VND 11,563 billion, equal to 42.51% of the annual plan, up 28.2% over the same period in 2023.
