Lao Cai meets to celebrate 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

On the afternoon of August 25, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with veterans, former soldiers, and outstanding soldiers in the province to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the meeting were Major General Tran Van Bac, Commander of Military Region 2; former military leaders of different periods, veterans, former soldiers, and outstanding soldiers in the province.

Born in the revolutionary struggle movement of the masses, when the resistance war against the French colonialists was in a difficult and fierce stage, the Lao Cai Provincial Armed Forces from the very beginning had the nature of a revolutionary army "Dedicated to the country, devoted to the people, born from the people, fighting for the people"; always steadfast and steadfast in the face of countless dangers, worthy of being a loyal and trustworthy fighting force to protect the Party, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

The provincial armed forces have been awarded the First Class Military Exploit Medal by the Party and State; Hero of the Armed Forces during the period of resistance against French colonialism. 61 collectives and 14 individuals have been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, including 375 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers. There are more than 5,800 martyrs, 7,600 wounded soldiers, making resounding achievements in 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the provincial armed forces...

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to former military leaders of all periods, along with all veterans, former soldiers, and outstanding soldiers in the province.

In the coming time, to build Lao Cai into a “Growth Pole, a center for economic trade connection between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region, China, developing in a green, harmonious, unique and happy direction”, Lao Cai continues to build an effective, efficient and effective political system; innovate the Party’s leadership methods and capacity.
