More than 500 athletes participate in Komomo Than Uyen Race 2025

On the morning of August 31, the People's Committee of Than Uyen commune organized the Komomo Than Uyen Ultra Trail 2025 Run within the framework of the Independence Day and the Cultural and Sports Festival of ethnic groups in Than Uyen commune in 2025.

More than 500 athletes from many localities across the country participated in the race.

This year's race attracted more than 500 athletes from many provinces and cities across the country to compete in distances of 5km, 15km and 35m.
In particular, the 5km distance had the participation of a large number of people from Than Uyen commune wearing red flags with yellow stars.

The event took place in a joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, while welcoming the 15th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

This is also a practical activity to raise people's awareness of the role of physical education and sports , contributing to improving health, building a healthy lifestyle, and promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

In 2025, for the first time, the People's Committee of Than Uyen commune proactively took charge of organizing the race. This affirmed the role and capacity of the commune-level government in the new management model, demonstrating the determination and bravery of the local Party Committee, government and people.

This year's running routes have been adjusted, creating an exciting experience for athletes.

With a distance of 35km, the big challenge comes from the steep slopes when crossing the mountain to reach Tham Phe fishing village, followed by the 650m high Hua Than mountain range, where athletes can admire the panoramic view of Muong Than fields in the ripe rice season.

The 5km distance had the participation of many people in Than Uyen commune.

The 15km distance takes athletes to conquer the slope at the "chill" water point, wooden houses and Macca hills.

Both distances ended at the center of Than Uyen commune amid enthusiastic cheers from the people.

The organizers awarded medals to the first place athletes in the 5km race.

The Komomo Than Uyen 2025 race has affirmed its attractiveness, becoming an opportunity to introduce the image of Lai Chau as friendly and hospitable, Than Uyen as rich in cultural identity and tourism potential.
