Lao Cai: Launching a booth model to promote health insurance for students

On the morning of August 27, at Bac Cuong Primary School No. 1 (Cam Duong Ward, Lao Cai Province), Cam Duong Social Insurance coordinated to organize a "Booth for propaganda, consultation, and answering questions about student health insurance policies", school year 2025-2026.

This is the first booth in a series of activities implementing the model "Stock booth for promoting health insurance for students" of Lao Cai Provincial Social Insurance.

At the booth, many activities were organized, such as: consulting and answering directly about social insurance and health insurance policies; focused propaganda during the school's extracurricular activities; introducing the features and utilities of the VssID application - digital social insurance, guiding parents and students to install and use it to access information and perform public services quickly and conveniently.

The activity aims to innovate communication methods, provide information, raise awareness for parents, students, and teachers about the rights and responsibilities of participating in health insurance; at the same time, support schools in mobilizing students to participate in health insurance fully and on time, contributing to increasing the rate of health insurance coverage for students in the area.

From now until the end of September 2025, the whole province will simultaneously launch a peak campaign to promote health insurance for students. Accordingly, the provincial Social Insurance and local Social Insurance will organize "Stands to promote health insurance for students" at schools in the area.

Up to now, the rate of students participating in health insurance in Lao Cai province has reached 96%. In the coming time, to strive to achieve the goal of 100% of students participating in health insurance in the 2025-2026 school year, the provincial Social Insurance will continue to closely coordinate with educational institutions, while strengthening propaganda and dissemination of health insurance policies and laws on mass media, contributing to raising awareness and creating consensus in the whole society.
