Because the commitment is only verbal, through an intermediary, it leads to a situation where a group of seasonal workers do not enjoy full and legitimate benefits, which can directly affect the relationship between workers and the reputation of the business.

Seasonal workers and hired workers without a commitment through a work agreement or labor contract become a "gap" in the enterprise.

However, because they are not union members, if an accident happens at work, they do not know the procedures to receive benefits. In case of late or unpaid wages, they do not know who to contact, who will stand up to protect them?", Ms. Ha wondered.

The work of developing union members faces many challenges, especially in the context of neighboring provinces and cities that have been strongly developing industrial parks. Preferential loan packages for buying social housing and building dormitories for workers from other provinces need to be implemented more quickly and drastically by the city to "retain" workers in Hai Phong for a long time, ensuring an abundant labor force to serve the development needs.

City Labor Federation discussed and sought solutions to support businesses and workers.

Comrade Nguyen Van Phiet, Vice President of Hai Phong City Labor Federation informed that in the coming time, the City Labor Federation will organize activities to guide, support, and supervise enterprises operating in the field of labor leasing to do a good job of management, use, recruitment, and fully implement the provisions of law for workers.

The City Labor Union assigned the Trade Union Working Committee to continue to coordinate with the Industrial Park Trade Union to compile statistics and review the number of enterprises in need of using labor re-hiring services, synthesize opinions to advise and propose timely and appropriate solutions to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
