BHG - On the afternoon of April 23 (ie March 26 of the lunar calendar), the people of Khau Vai commune (Meo Vac) held an incense offering ceremony at Ong and Ba temples. This is an important spiritual ritual and one of the outstanding activities within the framework of the Khau Vai Phong Luu Market Festival 2025. Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Meo Vac district, along with many people and tourists from all over.

Ong Temple and Ba Temple are places of worship for the legendary couple, and are important spiritual addresses in the cultural and spiritual life of the ethnic minorities in Meo Vac District. The incense offering activity here not only demonstrates the morality of “remembering the source of water when drinking” but also contributes to preserving and promoting the value of the local traditional cultural heritage.

Performing the incense offering ritual, the people of Khau Vai commune prepared 40 trays of offerings to present at the Ong and Ba temples, of which 27 trays were offered to the Ong temple and 13 trays were offered to the Ba temple. The trays of offerings were carefully prepared with offerings such as: pork, chicken, sticky rice, wine, fruit, and candy. Each offering has its own meaning, expressing the hearts, feelings, and gratitude of the people of Khau Vai commune towards the merits of the couple in the Khau Vai legend - a symbol of faithful and steadfast love.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates, people and tourists offered incense and offerings to the Ong and Ba temples, praying for favorable weather, bountiful crops, and peace and happiness for the people.
