Commemoration of the Mother Goddess of the Country in the Year of the Dragon - 2024

On November 10 (October 10) of the lunar calendar, at Tien Temple - Tien Cat Ward, Viet Tri City, the National Mother's Commemoration Ceremony took place.

The Mother of the Nation, also known as the Jade Goddess Dragon, is the queen of King Kinh Duong Vuong, the one who gave birth to and raised the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan.

The National Mother's Commemoration Ceremony is held annually on the 10th day of the 10th lunar month, with respect and gratitude to the ancestors' merits and predecessors in the early days of nation building, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the people of the whole country.

Drum dance performance to open the festival

From early morning, people from Tien Cat ward carried palanquins, offered incense, flowers and offerings to the Temple to show their respect to the Mother Goddess.

The ritual activities took place in a solemn, respectful, safe and economical atmosphere. The festival included art performances, flag dances, and drum dances, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the world to participate.
