On the morning of October 19 (July 1st of the Cham calendar), at Po Klong Garai tower in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, witnessed by thousands of local people and tourists attending the 2017 Kate festival, a tradition of the Cham people following Brahmanism, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province organized the announcement and received the certificate of the Kate festival of the Cham people of Ninh Thuan being included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

Kate is the most unique festival in the Champa cultural treasure, held by the Cham people once a year to commemorate the gods and offer offerings to their ancestors with sincere prayers for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather and bountiful crops.

The Kate Festival takes place over three days in a large area from the temple tower to the village and to each family of the Cham community.
On the first day, the procession of the goddess of the land Po Ina Nagar took place at Po Ina Nagar temple in Huu Duc village, Phuoc Huu commune, Ninh Phuoc district. On the second day, the Kate festival officially took place at Po Klong Garai tower, Po Rome tower in Hau Sanh village and Po Ina Nagar temple in Phuoc Huu commune, Ninh Phuoc district and ended at the villages.
During these days, the Cham villages are bustling with the sound of Ginang drums signaling the joyful Kate season.
