A different opening ceremony: 'I am proud to be Vietnamese and thank TH School'

Sharing on the opening day of the 2025-2026 school year when returning to school, Pham Thanh Mai, a former student of TH School, was moved: "I thank TH School for creating opportunities for us to study, encouraging us to participate in many competitions to discover ourselves and progress like today."

On the afternoon of September 5, at TH School, Chua Boc campus, the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year was held. This year's opening ceremony was impressive and extremely exciting when it gathered hundreds of students, alumni, and parents from TH School at both Chua Boc campus and Hoa Lac campus, joining in the spirit of starting the school year "Continuously reaching out" in the era of national growth.

The ceremony was even more special as it took place in a series of major events of the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Education sector - honoring and affirming the role of education in the country's development and international integration. In that pride, the Opening Ceremony of TH School was opened with an impressive drum performance by students in bright red flags with yellow stars performing the song "Lullaby of the Country".

“I found happiness at TH School”

Pham Thanh Mai, born in 2004 and studying at TH School in the 2018-2022 school year, was moved to return to school on the occasion of the opening ceremony. Mai is currently studying at the Diplomatic Academy, majoring in International Economics.

“Participating in the opening ceremony this year, I feel as much love as ever. The difference is that the students are more active and talented as they get older. Although they are young, their English is very good and their achievements are good. The school has invested in more and better learning equipment. I thank TH School for giving us the opportunity to study and encouraging us to participate in many competitions to discover ourselves and improve like today,” Thanh Mai confided.

Starting from grade 9, Mai moved from Tuyen Quang to Hanoi to study. “I was always proud and happy during my time studying at Hoa Lac campus. This is a boarding school so I grew up and studied together with my friends. After studying at TH School, I became more independent and mature. I found happiness when the school supported me a lot in my journey to discover my passion.

When there are projects, the school always supports us enthusiastically. In clubs or events, teachers always encourage us to make the most of our abilities and learn more leadership skills so that I can develop myself every day. Before, I did not think I could sing and play the T'rung ethnic instrument, but after studying and participating in clubs, I saw my ability with music," Thanh Mai shared.

The female student never forgets that during her studies, especially in grades 11 and 12, her teachers supported her a lot, even spending the evenings in the dormitory to help her solve problems. During class, teachers proactively asked about her studies, checked her grades to give her study suggestions and directions for each student.

In life, students have personal emotions and express their ego a lot during the "puberty" stage. At that time, teachers play the role of parents to give advice to those who need to improve, need to be more sociable and encourage those who study well and are happy with everyone.

Sharing the same sentiment, Vu Si Nam Anh, born in 2007, studying 2022-2025 at TH School Vinh - Nghe An, said that he was very emotional when attending the opening ceremony: "I attended the opening ceremony for 3 years at the school, but when I returned as a former student, I saw the children and saw myself from previous years. I feel proud that each year the number of students is larger and more actively participates in the arts."

Nam Anh said that TH School has created many opportunities for him. In 2022, TH School Vinh campus was established and opened up the opportunity for students in Vinh, Nghe An to study the Cambridge program for the first time in Nghe An. Confident with many acquaintances who had studied at this "pink school", Nam Anh and his parents decided to choose this as the goal in their journey.

“I feel lucky to have many privileges. I have been able to go to the Hoa Lac campus many times to study and live like a boarding student. At the school I attend, there are many clubs, career orientation activities, start-ups or fundraising fairs to apply business knowledge and raise funds for the community. I feel like a happy student. I have many options to develop myself such as music, sports, extracurricular activities... besides studying", Nam Anh commented.

It is known that during the 3 years studying at TH School, Nam Anh always achieved many high achievements. After graduating, she was accepted into a number of schools in Vietnam and will soon study at a school with a major in Business Administration and a scholarship of up to 90% - a scholarship that very few students achieve.

Similar to Dinh Mai Thuy Trang, born in 2007, who has studied at Chua Boc for 3 years, she shared: “Returning to school, I feel excited because just 3 months ago I was still studying here as a participant, now I am a witness. This year's opening ceremony is very different, more innovative, so I was surprised and I was very happy to see my teachers again.”

Thuy Trang said that this is a school where she can develop herself, have more rights to speak up, express her personal opinions and become more mature. Teachers feel comfortable talking and confiding in her like friends.

“I am proud that the school is constantly innovating and developing, but also maintaining its national traditions and uniqueness to always attract talented and dynamic students to study at the school. I am proud to be Vietnamese and thank TH School,” said Thuy Trang. The female student has been accepted to a number of top schools in Australia and the Netherlands, but decided to study Supply Chain Management in Vietnam.

9 years of journey to bring international education to Vietnam

At the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, many students' artworks were displayed, demonstrating the fine arts activities at TH School - where art classes have become a space for students to unleash their creativity, balancing between cultivating knowledge and nurturing their passion for art.

Many excellent works of students have been displayed at meaningful events such as the Happiness in Education Conference with the participation of Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Family Festival and Fresh Milk Week, as well as used as illustrations on moon cake boxes to raise funds for humanitarian activities and community service.

TH School offers international education programs for students aged 2 to 18 and has boarding facilities for students from remote provinces. Currently, TH School has 3 campuses in: Chua Boc - Hanoi; Hoa Lac - Hanoi and Vinh City - Nghe An.
