On the morning of October 30th, at Lung Vi village, the People's Committee of Xuan Giang commune organized the New Rice Festival to maintain, preserve, and promote the unique traditional cultural values ​​of the La Chi ethnic group in the area.

Every year, when the rice on the terraced fields ripens, the La Chi community holds the New Rice Festival to report to their ancestors, express filial piety, and pray for favorable weather, a bountiful harvest, and a peaceful life in the coming year. According to custom, around the beginning of the ninth lunar month, the elders and respected people in the village choose an auspicious day and inform the villagers to prepare offerings including sticky rice cakes, grilled fish, and wild beehives for the ceremony. This ritual holds significant importance in the spiritual and agricultural life of the La Chi people, and has been preserved and passed down through many generations.
