The opening ceremony of the Welcoming the Gods is a lion and dragon dance.

The Nghinh Than ceremony prays for calm seas and peaceful winds, and for fishermen to have good luck, prosperity, and well-being. The ceremony is combined with the Nghinh Than festival on the river and at sea by fishermen.

The boat carrying the God of Welcome on the sea in Lai Son commune, Kien Hai district ( Kien Giang ).

The opening ceremony includes lion and dragon dances, festival drums, reading of the Nghinh Than ceremony, and burning incense before inviting the spirit to welcome the Nghinh Than.

At noon of the same day, at the historical and cultural relic of Nam Hai Dai Tuong Quan Temple, the incense offering ceremony and the main ceremony to worship Nam Hai God took place...
