From 7am, the red flag with yellow star fluttered on the roof of the Southeast. To the background music of the National Anthem, thousands of people stood solemnly, looking at the National Flag to show their respect for the special moment of the nation. Then, the melody of the song "The Country is Full of Joy" resounded, the red flags with yellow stars were raised high, creating a proud scene.
Not everyone has the opportunity to attend a flag-raising ceremony at an altitude of nearly 1,000m, in the middle of the mountains and forests, on such a special occasion. That is what makes the event even more memorable and leaves unforgettable emotions for those who have the opportunity to attend.
“I went with a group of friends to experience the holiday in Tay Ninh , and I didn’t expect there to be such a meaningful flag-raising ceremony. Everyone voluntarily kept order, facing the national flag, creating an extremely solemn and impressive atmosphere,” said Nguyen Van Minh (30 years old, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City).
To create cohesion and spread the spirit of national pride, Sun World Ba Den Mountain gave away 1,000 red flag-yellow-star T-shirts, 2,000 hand-held flags, 500 headbands with the words “I love Vietnam” and many promotional stickers. These small items contributed to creating a uniform image and bringing a solemn atmosphere to the event.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang (Tay Ninh City) said: "I have attended the flag-raising ceremony on Ba Mountain on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary. This time, I attended on April 30. The feeling is still very special when standing under the national flag in a vast, peaceful space."
Among the crowd attending the flag-raising ceremony, it is not difficult to see the image of families with many generations participating together. There are old men with white hair walking with their grandchildren, there are young couples with their children, all dressed neatly, carrying small flags in their hands. For many families, this is not simply participating in an event, but also a way to preserve patriotism from one generation to the next.
Ba Den Mountain is not only a prominent tourist destination, but in recent years has also become a place to hold symbolic ceremonies. Organizing flag-raising ceremonies here on major holidays such as Hung King's death anniversary, National Day or April 30 has created cultural depth, evoking national pride for locals and tourists.
From there, it not only contributes to enriching the festival tourism experience in Tay Ninh, but also is an opportunity for everyone to be reminded of the nation's history, the value of peace and gratitude for the generations who sacrificed for the homeland and country.
