According to the plan of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Department's Grade 10 Examination Council will mark multiple-choice tests. From June 11 to June 22, the Council will mark essay tests.

From July 4 to July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the exam scores. Specifically, the announcement of exam scores of candidates on the Electronic Information Portal of the Department of Education and Training, the Admissions Portal of Hanoi City.

Regarding the marking of exams, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that this is also the responsibility of the education and training sector; the responsibility and conscience of teachers. Therefore, there is no phenomenon of 'loose marking' or 'tight marking' or marking based on emotions. "We all have cameras during the marking process. After marking, we will randomly select some papers to re-mark based on probability, and also cross-mark. The marking council of the Department of Education and Training must bring the most fairness to students," Mr. Cuong affirmed.

From July 7 to July 9, schools will return application documents and admission exam results for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year to students.

Before July 10, schools will receive students' appeal applications, submit appeal applications and lists of students to the Department of Education and Training.

From July 10 to July 12, high schools, vocationaleducation - continuing education centers, and vocational education institutions organize admission confirmation.

On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional benchmark scores for public grade 10 (if any).

From July 19 to July 22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).

One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and does not have a coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects and encourage students to study all subjects equally.

The formula for calculating the admission score (Score) for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in Hanoi in 2025 is as follows:

DXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).

The entrance exam for non-specialized public grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year will be held on June 7 and 8; the specialized exam will be held on June 9, 2025.

This year, the whole city of Hanoi has 115,951 candidates registered to take the exam (including 102,860 non-specialized public candidates and 13,091 specialized candidates). Hanoi has arranged 4,411 exam rooms and 201 exam locations in 30 districts, towns and cities.
