Lunar New Year 2026 holiday schedule of many universities in Ho Chi Minh City

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade , students will have the Lunar New Year holiday from February 9, 2026 to March 8, 2026 (ie December 22 to January 21 of the lunar calendar), equivalent to one month.

However, in the week before and after Tet holiday, students will study online according to the school's arrangement. Specifically, the online study schedule before Tet is from February 2-8, 2026 and the schedule after Tet is from February 22 to March 1, 2026.

Before the Tet holiday, first-year students at this school will undergo three weeks of National Defense and Security Education , starting from January 19 to February 7, 2026.

According to the teaching and learning plan for the 2025-2026 full-time school year of the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City , students will have Tet holiday from February 9, 2026 to March 1, 2026 (ie December 22 to January 13 of the lunar calendar).

Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment are informed that they will have a 3-week Lunar New Year holiday, starting from February 9, 2026 to February 27, 2026 (ie December 22 to January 11 of the lunar calendar).

The 2026 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students of Ho Chi Minh City Open University has also been announced in the 2025-2026 regular training plan, starting from February 9, 2026 to March 1, 2026 (ie December 22 to January 13 of the lunar calendar).
