This is the first time the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team has participated in this playground. They achieved this achievement thanks to entering the top 5 of the 2024 Asian U20 Women's Volleyball Tournament.

The 12 athletes honored to participate in the historic tournament are Lai Khanh Huyen, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, Dang Thi Hong, Le Nhu Anh, Nguyen Lan Vy, Nguyen Van Ha, Pham Quynh Huong, Pham Thuy Linh, Le Thuy Linh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Ha Kieu Vy.

This is a group of people who have performed well in recent domestic and international tournaments. Therefore, they are trusted by coach Nguyen Trong Linh to take on the task.

The 2025 FIFA U-21 Women's Volleyball World Championship will feature 24 teams, divided into four groups of six. The top four teams from each group will advance to the round of 16. The bottom two teams will then compete for places 17 to 24.

According to the draw results, the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team is in group A with host teams Indonesia, Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

According to the most recent U21 world rankings, Argentina is ranked 7th. The next positions are Serbia (ranked 8th in the world), Puerto Rico (ranked 15th), Canada (ranked 21st), Vietnam (ranked 25th) and Indonesia (ranked 62nd).

In the opening match, the U21 women's volleyball team of Vietnam will face Indonesia. It can be said that this is the easiest match for coach Nguyen Trong Linh's team in the group stage. However, the opponent has the home field advantage, so this is still a big challenge.

After that, U21 Vietnam will continue to meet Serbia, Canada, Argentina and Puerto Rico. The team does not set any specific goals, but only tries their best in this rare opportunity to enter an international playground.
