In the second leg, Vietnam's rival Thailand was without top scorer Warisara because he was busy attending the U.21 World Cup. When the two teams met in the first leg, Warisara, with his strong physical condition and good jumping power, brought the Thai team many important points from both attack and defense. Without Warisara, the Thai team relied on the experience of veteran players such as Pimpichaya, Ajcharaporn, Thanacha, Thatdao...

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team increased the strength of the attack when the main striker Nguyen Thi Phuong returned. Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy were the 3 most impressive players of the Vietnamese team in the first leg. Experts expect the remaining players to have high performance to create a historic achievement of defeating the Thai team for the first time.
