In the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 Asian Women's Cup, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will meet China's Wuhan Jiangda team at 3:00 p.m. on May 21. The Vietnamese women's team will travel to China with 21 players, while Tran Thi Thuy Trang and K'Thua, after losing to Japan in the quarter-finals of the Asian Women's Futsal Championship with the Vietnamese women's futsal team, traveled from Inner Mongolia (China) to Wuhan City to join the team.

The Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has 6 foreign and overseas Vietnamese players, including: center back Aubrey Goodwill, striker Sabrina Marie Cabrera (USA), midfielder Maria Jamila Khan (Pakistani-American), midfielder Sakura Yoshida (Japanese-American), Ashley Tram Anh (Vietnamese-American) and Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi (Vietnamese-Canadian). Of which, Maria Khan, Sakura Yoshida and Nam Mi are 3 new players, recruited by the Thong Nhat Stadium team to strengthen the strength for the semi-final of the Asian Women's Cup C1. Compared to the spectacular 5-4 comeback quarter-final win over Abu Dhabi Women's Club (UAE) in March, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club no longer has the service of overseas Vietnamese midfielder Chelsea Le.
Previously, Mr. Lu Dinh Tuan was appointed as the head coach of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, because the former Saigon Port Club player has a Pro certificate (the highest certificate of a coach granted by the Asian Football Federation); while female coach Doan Thi Kim Chi holds the role of deputy coach. Coach Lu Dinh Tuan is a veteran and has also worked as an assistant to coach Park Hang-seo in the Vietnam national team. The combination of coach Lu Dinh Tuan and coach Kim Chi promises to help the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club have a good performance. Home fans are looking forward to Huynh Nhu and her teammates creating a surprise on the away field.
