Speaking at the 2024 Nghe An Province Folk Performing Arts Festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Bui Dinh Long emphasized: The preservation and promotion of fine traditional cultural values of ethnic groups have always received special attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee. Thanks to that, the cultural and artistic movement in general, and activities to preserve and promote fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities have had many positive changes.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed: This folk performing arts festival is an opportunity for ethnic minorities in the province to deeply express the intangible cultural values of their people to the Vietnamese ethnic minority community. It is also an opportunity to vividly demonstrate the cultural and artistic movements of ethnic minorities in the area; to demonstrate solidarity and mutual exchange and learning between ethnic groups in the districts; and an opportunity for artisans, cultural and artistic nuclei of ethnic groups to perform folk songs, folk music, folk dances and impart traditional cultural values of ethnic groups to the public.
In particular, the Festival is also an opportunity and condition to inspire the young generation of ethnic minorities to appreciate, cherish and preserve the cultural identity of their nation.
Within 20 minutes, each team participating in the Festival brought unique performances, imbued with the national and regional cultural identities. It is easy to see that the Mass Art Program participating in the Festival is a comprehensive singing, dancing and music program, focusing on exploiting and promoting the good traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, especially excerpts of folk performances, folk songs, folk music, folk dances... so it is very close to the spiritual and cultural life of the ethnic minority community in the Western Nghe An region.
At the end of the 2024 Nghe An Province Folk Performing Arts Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded many prizes. Accordingly, for the performance awards, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 10 C prizes; for the collective awards, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes.
