Specifically, at 9:05 p.m. on July 14, the Traffic Police Department's working group conducted a patrol and control of the Nhat Le River, passing through Quang Ninh commune, and discovered Mr. Chau Dinh Huan (born in 1983, residing in Phu Loc village, Ninh Chau commune) driving a motorized iron boat transporting about 11 cubic meters of sand. Upon inspection, Mr. Huan could not present any documents or records related to the sand. The working group drew up a record to handle the case according to legal regulations.

Then, at around 3:00 a.m. on July 15, on the Gianh River section through Xuan Ha village, Tuyen Hoa commune, the patrol team led by Tuyen Hoa commune police, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department and the Economic Police Department, Provincial Police conducted an inspection and discovered a wooden boat driven by Mr. Ho Ngoc Chuyen (born in 1975, residing in Cap Son village, Tan Gianh commune) illegally mining sand in an unlicensed area. At the time of the inspection, the boat had mined about 7m3 of sand. The authorities requested Mr. Chuyen to stop the violation and make a record for handling according to regulations.
Along with inspection and handling, the traffic police force also focused on propaganda and mobilizing people to strictly comply with the law. On July 14 and 15, through the mobilization of the functional forces, Mr. Hoang Duc Chung (born in 1982, residing in Tan Gianh commune) voluntarily dismantled and stopped using 2 iron boats that were not qualified to participate in inland waterway activities.
