Lisa Blackpink breaks IU's record as a Kpop solo artist

With just two solo songs in her resume, the female idol has achieved many notable records and according to the latest platform update, Blackpink's youngest member has broken the record previously held by IU herself.

Lisa has reached 7,007,158 followers on Spotify, becoming the fastest "K-pop Female Solo Artist" to reach this number in the history of the platform.

As one of Asia's most successful solo artists, Lisa also brought her solo hit "Money" to surpass 1.7 billion views on YouTube Music, becoming her first song to achieve this.

Lalisa Manobal, better known by her stage name Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer. She is the youngest member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink under YG Entertainment. In 2024, Lisa founded her own management company, Lloud, and signed with RCA Records.

Lisa made her solo debut with the single album Lalisa in September 2021, with the title single of the same name. The album sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea, making her the first female artist to do so.

The music video for the lead single of the same name garnered 73.6 million views on YouTube in its first 24 hours of release, becoming the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on the platform by a solo artist.

Both "Lalisa" and the album's second single "Money" reached the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200, the latter becoming the first multi-week charting song by a female K-pop solo artist on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.

Lalisa and "Money" respectively became the first album and song by a K-pop solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify.

Lisa has won numerous awards throughout her career, including the most Guinness World Records won by a K-pop solo artist with eight, Gaon Chart Music Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and the first MTV Europe Music Award ever won by a K-pop solo artist.
