Lisa (Blackpink) and Jimin (BTS) compete on international charts

Recently, the song “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” by Jimin (BTS) and Loco debuted at number 4 on the Spotify Daily Top Songs - Global chart after only 1 day of release.

“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” debuted at No. 4 with 6,625,387 streams, making it the biggest K-pop debut on the global Spotify chart in 2024.

In addition, the song debuted at No. 41 on the US Spotify chart with 751,141 streams. Jimin’s previous songs “Like Crazy” and “Closer Than This” also appeared on US Spotify at No. 81 and No. 91, respectively, thanks to the “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” effect.

Releasing on the same day as Jimin, Lisa's (Blackpink) song "Rockstar" also debuted in the Global Spotify Top 10. "Rockstar" reached No. 8 with 5,890,735 streams, making Lisa the female Kpop solo artist with the song with the highest first-day streaming in Spotify history.

In terms of first-day streaming performance in 2024, “Rockstar” (5.89 million streams) ranked second, just behind “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” (6.62 million streams), and surpassed “Never Let Go” - Jungkook (5.51 million streams).

Notably, “Rockstar" debuted at No. 1 on the Spotify Thailand chart - Lisa's home country - with 2.573 million streams. Lisa's "Rockstar" broke the all-time record for the highest single-day streams for any song in Spotify Thailand history.

Thai audiences contributed nearly half of “Rockstar's" global streams on October 28.

Additionally, "Rockstar" debuted at number 139 on the US Spotify chart with 449,824 streams.
