A batch of specialized equipment meeting green environment requirements arrives at Hai Phong International Gateway Port - Vietnam National Shipping Lines - VIMC

On November 16, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company received the first batch of eight rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs) at container terminals 3 and 4 of Hai Phong International Gateway Port in Lach Huyen. This is an important preparation step to put these two container terminals into operation from the first quarter of 2025.

Container terminals No. 3 and 4 of Hai Phong International Gateway Port in Lach Huyen are expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.

The equipment installed at two terminals 3 and 4 is according to the equipment and installation contract signed between Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company and Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd. - Japan. This is specialized equipment for loading and unloading containers, applying modern and energy-saving technology, using 100% electric energy to ensure a green port environment.

Along with the first 8 RTG cranes, specialized wharf gantry cranes (STS) will also continue to be transported and installed in December 2024 to meet the investment and exploitation progress of these wharf areas.

According to Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company Pham Hong Minh, in line with the trend of developing green ports, Hai Phong Port is one of the pioneering seaports making efforts to increase competitiveness, respond to the "green transformation" process, contribute to limiting emissions and protecting the environment.

With the goal of improving service quality, creating a professional and convenient working environment, meeting the increasing needs of customers, on November 15, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company officially announced the decision to improve the business system and deploy the Customer Service Center model.

The newly established Customer Service Center will be an important step in the development strategy of Hai Phong Port, a clear demonstration of the Company's commitment to improving service quality to meet the increasing demands of customers. The new model not only helps improve work processes, but also creates an effective communication channel between customers and Hai Phong Port.

Mr. Pham Hong Minh said that in 2024, the leadership and implementation of Hai Phong Port's tasks will continue to face new challenges with many very important and decisive tasks. The Hai Phong Port Party Committee has built the theme for 2024: "Promoting historical traditions; Strengthening cooperation and connectivity; Promoting investment and business; Improving competitiveness" with the desire and determination to create a breakthrough in implementing the company's strategy and vision.

In 2024, Hai Phong Port is expected to achieve a throughput of 39 million tons, consolidated revenue of VND 2,800 billion, consolidated profit of over VND 1,000 billion, ensuring jobs and stabilizing the lives of workers with an average income of over VND 22 million/person/month.

The synchronous investment in infrastructure, modern technology and professional management model demonstrates Hai Phong Port's determination to maintain its brand as the largest seaport in the Northern region of Vietnam and contribute to promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam's maritime industry.
