Over the past few days, a clip recording the moment a man pulled a child on a bicycle out of a truck's blind spot has been shared by the online community with a flood of compliments for this action.
After the clip was posted, Hoa Binh City Police verified the identity of the man riding the motorbike as Vu Tien Anh (34 years old).
Mr. Tien Anh believes that anyone who encountered the above situation would act the same way. Recalling that moment, he said that on the afternoon of December 9, after picking up his child from school, he planned to go fill up with gas and then return to the store in Thinh Lang ward.
"I went from Huu Nghi bridge to Hoang Van Thu street. When I got to the intersection between Truong Han Sieu and Hoang Van Thu streets, I saw a boy riding a bicycle close to the side of a truck. Then the situation happened as everyone saw in the video ," said Mr. Tien Anh.
Mr. Tien Anh shared that he felt embarrassed when people called him a hero. Realizing the risk of an accident, he did not hesitate or think too much but proactively accelerated, then braked and pulled the child.
It is known that after the video was posted on social media, Hoa Binh City Police verified the incident that occurred at Thinh Lang intersection, near the Huu Nghi bridge. The child riding the bicycle was named Ha Hai D. (8 years old, a student of class 3A, Thinh Lang Primary and Secondary School).
According to Hoa Binh City Police, Mr. Tien Anh has saved many people from dangerous situations like the one above.
