* On May 29, the Party Committee of Brigade 101, Naval Region 4 held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 689-NQ/QUTW dated October 10, 2014 of the Central Military Commission and Resolution No. 11-NQ/DU dated September 10, 2015 of the Navy Party Committee on preventing, combating, overcoming consequences of natural disasters, catastrophes, and search and rescue until 2020 and the following years. Colonel Pham Duy Huong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the brigade chaired.
Over the past 10 years, the Party Committee and brigade commander have led and directed the unit to effectively implement resolutions and directives; the brigade and agencies and units have strictly maintained forces and means to prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and search and rescue; regularly organized drills on natural disaster prevention and control plans, fire and explosion prevention, etc.

From 2014 to present, the unit has organized 6 mobilizations of forces and means to help people overcome damage after storms; 4 fire prevention and fighting campaigns in the stationed area with the participation of more than 1,077 soldiers; trained in rescue and search and rescue according to the program and regulations with 3,500 officers and soldiers; regularly monitored the weather situation, proactively grasped, forecasted the situation and deployed plans for natural disaster prevention and control; propagated and disseminated legal regulations on natural disaster prevention and control to 100% of officers, soldiers and people in the area; closely coordinated in natural disaster prevention and control and search and rescue work with superiors and localities...
At the conference, the opinions presented assessed the strengths, pointed out the limitations and shortcomings, clearly identified the causes and drew lessons; determined the direction, tasks and measures for implementation in the coming time.
* On the same day, the Party Committee of Brigade 101 held a conference to evaluate the implementation of the instructions of the General Department of Politics , the Political Department of the Navy, and Naval Region 4 on Party activities, and to issue resolutions of Party committees and Party cells in the Brigade Party Committee.
The conference aims to evaluate the results achieved after implementing the guidelines of all levels on Party activities, and resolutions of Party committees and Party cells; to point out limitations, shortcomings, and lessons learned. Thereby, to propose policies and solutions for implementation in the coming time and to propose and recommend to the Party Committee and the Command of Naval Region 4, contributing to improving the quality of Party cell activities, widely deploying them throughout the Party Committee; to promote the responsibility of the Party committees, Party cells, and Party members in maintaining the order of Party cell activities...
