In 2024, the Party Committee and the Brigade Commander thoroughly grasped the tasks, resolutions and directives of the Party; the 2024 military work orders of the Commander of Region 2; comprehensively and synchronously implemented the directives of the Navy and Region 2 on combat readiness; maintained the forces and means on standby for combat; flexibly and promptly handled situations; fully developed combat readiness plans for peak occasions; organized training on plans to protect the safety of agencies and units; organized patrol and reconnaissance missions in assigned sea areas; participated in defense diplomacy missions with the Indonesian and Canadian navies. Strengthened the building of a regular order, disciplined training, and built a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary and typical". Coordinate with localities to effectively carry out propaganda work on seas and islands, organize the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea" in Soc Trang province; regularly visit and encourage children of fishermen sponsored by the Brigade.
Along with that, Brigade 167 also successfully completed the tasks of combat training, combat readiness exercises, on duty to protect the sovereignty of the sea area of Truong Sa archipelago, DK1, live-fire at sea, infantry shooting; organized and participated in competitions and sports events with high results; built a comprehensive regular unit; a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical". Internal solidarity and unity; officers and soldiers have strong political will; the unit excellently completed the assigned tasks, absolute safety in all aspects. However, there are still some limitations and shortcomings that need to be focused on and thoroughly overcome in the coming time.

In particular, in the past year, the Brigade has always been one of the leading units in the Region in competitions and sports. Specifically, the Brigade won 28 prizes, including 06 First prizes, 06 Second prizes, 08 Third prizes, 01 Third prize, 06 Encouragement prizes for Industry and individual awards at the national level, General Department of Politics, Service and many other Regional awards; for the first time participating in the Competition of training models for Party work and Political work, won the First Prize at the Regional level; the only unit in the entire Region to win the national prize in the writing contest "Stories in the Company" and the Video clip contest "Young Army volunteers carry out the dissemination andeducation of law" organized by the General Department of Politics. The achievements and results at the recent sports competitions have affirmed the efforts and determination of the Brigade's officers and soldiers, and at the same time left many valuable lessons, serving as a basis for agencies and units to continue researching and organizing creative and effective implementation.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Quan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Region 2 acknowledged and commended the results that Brigade 167 had achieved in 2024. The Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Region emphasized that the results achieved by the Brigade demonstrated a high spirit of solidarity and unity, and unity from top to bottom; at the same time, he believed that under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and Brigade Commander, officers and soldiers of Brigade 167 would excellently complete their tasks in the remaining months of 2024, making many achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
Also at the Conference, Brigade 167 launched an emulation campaign with the theme "Democracy, solidarity, discipline, creativity, determination to win" and awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2024./.
