Educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, teenagers, and children on cyberspace: Building a culture of behavior on cyberspace for union members and youth

STO - In recent years, along with the development of the internet, social networks are considered one of the most influential applications of the internet, especially for young people in both urban and rural areas today. Therefore, building a positive behavioral culture for union members and young people on cyberspace is very important, aiming to guide young people to use social networks in a civilized, healthy and responsible manner. This contributes to building a positive, safe network environment and developing a culture of reading and sharing correct information on cyberspace.

In the era of technology 4.0, cyberspace is a huge, rich, diverse treasure trove of information, which is very helpful for union members and young people in studying, working, entertaining, connecting and expanding their communication networks. However, besides the positive factors, there are also many negative impacts caused by social networks. That is the situation of uncivilized and irresponsible behavior on social networks of a part of young people still happening. Some people lack awareness in using language, posting false information, causing public confusion. This has had a negative impact on the network environment, destroying the health and positivity of cyberspace, and at the same time negatively affecting the awareness and behavior of union members and young people.

Clearly identifying the importance of educating awareness and forming positive habits when using social networks for union members and young people, the Central Youth Union has issued a plan to implement the campaign "Civilized behavior in cyberspace" to propagate and mobilize union members and young people to be exemplary and strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on social network management. At the same time, identify the plots, methods and tricks of hostile forces and individuals who take advantage of the Internet, especially using social networks to propagate, incite and sabotage the Party and the State. From there, create an environment for union members and young people to proactively change and adjust their behavior to participate in safe and healthy activities in cyberspace.

Responding to the campaign "Civilized behavior in cyberspace", the Youth Union at all levels in Soc Trang province have actively participated in many practical activities, aiming to create a strong change in the awareness and responsibility of union members and youth in building and implementing civilized behavior in the online environment. In particular, the Youth Union at all levels has increased propaganda to raise awareness for union members and youth, organized 100% of union officials and members to commit to civilized behavior in cyberspace through the Vietnam Youth application, and well implemented the general rules of conduct "Compliance, health, safety, responsibility" on fanpages and official Zalo groups established and managed by the Youth Union. These rules aim to guide young people to use social networks in a civilized, positive and responsible manner, contributing to building a healthy and safe online environment.

In recent times, the Youth Union at all levels in Soc Trang province has also strengthened propaganda and education to identify the plots, methods and tricks of hostile forces and individuals who take advantage of the internet and social networks to propagate and incite. Along with that, the campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week" has been implemented, and information pages have been established to fight against bad and toxic information on the internet environment... Thereby, Youth Union members and young people in the province have responded positively with over 3,500 good news and beautiful stories posted on social networks, creating a spread of standard values, a sense of responsibility, humanity and sharing with the community among Youth Union members and young people. At the same time, Youth Union chapters at all levels have also promoted the dissemination of the Law on Cyber Security and legal documents related to social network participation to raise awareness and responsibility of Youth Union members and young people. Through that, create a strong change in union members and youth in terms of cultural behavior in the online environment, clearly express viewpoints and resolutely eliminate bad, toxic, anti-cultural information on the internet and social networks so that each union member and youth is a "warrior" in cyberspace.

It can be said that building a culture of behavior for union members and young people in cyberspace helps union members and young people to operate and interact in a healthy and safe digital cultural environment. This is one of the important conditions that determines the formation and development of good personality of each union member and young person; at the same time, it creates a positive environment that affects other subjects in cyberspace in the process of participating, operating, and interacting with union members and young people today.
